When she was 23 and after gaining confidence with volunteer work with her church, she decided to enter the Burbank Adult school to try to continue her education. To her surprise, she found that she was now really fond of both school and learning. Currently, she is working on her high school diploma program and her counselor describes her as diligent, motivated and focused.

Jocelyn wants  to eventually attend Glendale Community College, get a certificate in flight aviation,  and pursue a career as a flight attendant. We have offered her two $500 scholarships, one for each of her first two semesters at GCC.
