Kiwanis Club of Burbank Foundation representative Stephen Veres and Club member and owner of the Music Junction Charissa Wheeler present YMCA representative Bryan Snodgrass with our donation.

A check from the Kiwanis Club of Burbank in the amount of $2200 was presented to the Burbank Community YMCA at the Kiwanis Club of Burbank weekly meeting on 4/23/2017. The Burbank Community YMCA was the beneficiary of the largest portion of the proceeds from the First Annual Burbank Singing Star Contest held last September.

Burbank Singing Star is the brainchild of Charissa Wheeler, club member and owner of The Music Junction. The Kiwanis Club of Burbank and The Music Junction joined forces to put on the event. The club lent its expertise in community relations and fundraising, and Charissa her expertise in music and showmanship! The event was a great success making possible the donation to the YMCA’s Summer Camp program.
