Relay For Life

In July 2004, our club participated in the first 24 hour Burbank Relay For Life event to benefit the American Cancer Society and we participated in the event every year since.  Our Kiwanis Club was one of the first organized team to answer the call to participate.

The first lap were made by Cancer survivors in Purple t-shirts icluding several Kiwanis Club team members. Relay For Life Kiwanis Team Captain Stephen Veres (in white t-shirt) joins his wife Elaine on his left on the second lap. The opening lap and the 9:00 pm ceremony march at night is a very emotional event.
