Kiwanis Club of Burbank and Music Junction Present Burbank Singing Star Contest
BURBANK SINGING STAR CONTEST
The Music Junction’s “Burbank Singing Star” is a charitable event where a panel of celebrity judges will decide who are the best singers in the area, grouped by ages 4-12. Produced in conjunction with the Kiwanis Club of Burbank, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Burbank YMCA’s Learn, Grow, Thrive program.
- All children ages 4-12 are eligible to enter.
- Entries will be accepted until 5pm PT on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Contestants can enter in one of two ways:
- Prepare and record a short section of one of their favorite songs and upload it to THE OFFICIAL SUBMISSION PAGE.
- Attend one of The Music Junction’s FREE COACHING AND RECORDING SESSIONS.
- Contestants can share their submissions across social media platforms for a chance to win the Most Buzz award, which includes an automatic entry into the semifinals.
- Semifinalists will be announced mid-September and called to Burbank for a live audition round.
- The finals will be held Friday, September 30th, 2016 at The Castaway’s beautiful 600-seat Starlight room. The event starts at 6pm.
- A two-hour reception prior to the event includes activity stations for children and live music, as well as food and drink options.
- Prizes will include music lessons and equipment, gift certificates, studio tours, performance opportunities & exposure, and more!
- The Burbank YMCA’s Learn, Grow, Thrive program is a summer learning loss prevention program that offers summer reading and enrichment for children from low income environments.
