Kiwanis Club of Burbank Celebrates its 95th Installation of Officers!

The Kiwanis Club of Burbank Installs New Officers and Board of Directors

The 95th Annual Kiwanis Club of Burbank Installation Dinner was held on September 22, 2016 at The Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, CA. It was an evening to celebrate the accomplishments of the club during the 2015-2016 term. Charles Chavoor was installed as the 2016-2017 Kiwanis Club of Burbank President.

Charles announced his vision for the new year. The Club motto for the year is Play, Learn, Grow. From playing music at each meeting from the very beginning of the club to present day to the fun we have while working on service projects – the Kiwanis Club of Burbank knows how to play!

Learn – moving forward into the new era, learning to use technology, new ways to promote our club, and new ways to leverage our friendships and knowledge to further our cause.

Grow – Grow within ourselves, to be better Kiwanians – Grow our Club, new members bring new ideas and more resources – Grow our Division, our District, and Kiwanis International – one member at a time.

2015-2016 Kiwanis Club of Burbank President Cynthia Faust presents Board Member Luis Centeno with the 2015-2016 Kiwanian of the Year Award.

2015-2016 Club President Cynthia Faust presented the outgoing Board of Directors with a gift for their year of service. Cynthia also awarded Board Member and incoming 2nd Vice President Luis Centeno with the Kiwanis Club of Burbank Kiwanian of the year award.

The Club presented Cynthia with a token of thank you for the hard work and dedication to the club. As always former Club President Gary Kessler was the Master of Ceremonies and performed at his best.

Invocation was done by Pastor Sam Kim, Burbank High School Key Club President Louise Panaligan led us in the Flag Salute and Marsha Jackson led the group in a patriotic song.
