The 3rd Annual Burbank Singing Star Contest was held on April 22nd, 2018 at the beautiful newly renovated community auditorium of the Church of Scientology of the Valley. Two finalist concerts, the first one at 1 pm for contestants 5 to 10 years old and the second at 3:30pm for contestants 11 to 14 years old were full of talent and energy!

Church of Scientology of the Valley President Kathy Morrill along with Kiwanis Club of Burbank 2017-2018 President Lisa Malm, welcomed guest at the beginning of each concert.

 

 

 

Over 750 fans attended this year’s event hosted by Charissa Wheeler and Robbie Fitzsimmons! the event also included an outdoor festival with food, silent auction, family activities and food!

Opening each concert, our very own Event Chairwoman Charissa Wheeler performed “Orange Colored Sky” accompanied by the Generation DCD Dance Team.

Both Grand Prize winners from last year’s Contest performed their original songs: 1st concert, Elizabeth Mansour performed her song “Keep on Trying” and in the 2nd Concert Bridget Barrera performed her song “He’s a Dream”!

We want to thank our celebrity judges: American Idol Alum Anthony Fedrov, Star Search Winner Peggi Blu, Songwriter/Producer Andrew Lane, Producer Chantel Saucedo, Recording Artist April Diamond, Recording Artist Sonika Vaid, and Vice President, Music Strategy Disney Channels Worldwide and General Manager Radio Disney Networks Phil Guerini!

While the judge’s votes were tabulated each concert’s final number “I am Changing” was performed by Charissa wheeler and Co-Host Robbie Fitzsimmons.
