An Enchanted Evening Under the Sea – 22nd Annual Gala
The Kiwanis Club of Burbank proudly announces its 22nd Annual Gala to be held August 10th, 2019 at the Newly Renovated Castaway Restaurant in Burbank! This year’s Gala is titled “An Enchanted Evening Under the Sea”! The festivities will start at 6:00 PM with a silent auction and cocktail hour. A full program including Dinner, Live Auction, Entertainment, Famous Reverse Drawing ($5,000 Grand Prize), and Live Music & Dancing!
This Event is designed to raise funds for the direct support we provide the youth in Burbank. Burbank Kiwanis strives to help them increase their confidence, find their self-expression, and develop leadership skills. We do this by supporting many programs at BUSD Schools such as Providing support and advisors to the Key Clubs at five local high schools, Donating to Burbank High School Art, Music, and Drama Departments, Sponsoring the Burbank Middle School Speech Program, and Producing Burbank Singing Star, a singing contest for kids that has allowed us to donate thousands of dollars towards elementary school music education. We also help youth by sponsoring both a Cub Scout Den and a Boy Scout Troop and hold many direct hands-on volunteer work projects in the community. Additionally, we support many charitable organizations in the city that serve thousands of residents.
An all volunteer organization, the Kiwanis Club of Burbank has been in service since 1922! In this, our 97th year we are proud to be the largest service organization in the City of Burbank. Through its many projects, the club strives to teach children leadership, good citizenship, self confidence, work ethic, respect for others, and of course, instill the spirit of service. It is no wonder that the motto of Kiwanis is “Serving the children of the world”.
By supporting the Burbank Kiwanis 21st Annual Gala, you are making many projects and events possible including : Key Clubs at five local high schools, Burbank High School Art, Music, and Drama Departments, the Burbank Middle School Speech Program, Scholarships, Teacher Awards, Burbank Singing Star, and over fifty commendable Kiwanis projects.
